|Robert J. Katch
President and Chief Investment Officer
Robert founded Manchester Financial in 1990. Prior to founding Manchester, Robert was the Associate Treasurer at Pepperdine University. He was responsible for the University's corporate finance function including cash and debt management, as well as the institution's $250 million investment portfolio which covered asset allocation, portfolio analysis and manager evaluation, as well as house investments for major donors. From 1991 through 2003, Robert also served as an Adjunct Professor for the University, where he taught investment, accounting and finance courses. He was previously with Arthur Young & Co., serving in both the International Taxation and Merger & Acquisition Departments. Robert earned both his M.B.A. and B.S. in Accounting from Pepperdine University. He currently serves on the Board for Pepperdine’s Seaver College and chairs the Investment Committee for the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Endowment portfolio.
|Alan S. Hopkins
Chief Economic Strategist
Alan joined Manchester Financial in 1995 after several years at Charles Schwab & Co. where he was responsible for high net-worth clients and also taught courses in financial planning, trading techniques and retirement strategies. Prior to Schwab, Alan was a consultant to the State of California in the rescue of the Executive Life Insurance Company and worked on the merger of Bank of America’s and Security Pacific’s mutual fund departments. He has an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University. Alan has served on several boards, including the Alliance for the Arts, and was President of the Wellness Community, a national cancer charity. He is a current board member of Real Spirit and Sherwood Country Club.
|Scott V. Whitney
Senior Investment Advisor
As a Senior Investment Advisor at Manchester Financial, Scott is responsible for the management of client portfolios, including corporate retirement accounts and charitable funds. Prior to Manchester, Scott spent over 15 years with Harold Davidson & Associates, Inc. as Vice President Investment Counseling where he managed approximately $300 million in client assets. Scott also served as Portfolio Manager for Canterbury Capital Services (now Canterbury Consulting). During his six-year tenure with Canterbury, he researched, analyzed, and selected investment opportunities while focusing on underlying intrinsic valuations. Scott earned both an M.B.A. and a B.S. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, basketball, and a variety of outdoor activities.

Senior Financial Planner
Laura spent over a decade in financial services at Capital Wealth Management before joining Manchester Financial. During her tenure at CWM, Laura managed all aspects of clients’ accounts – including cash management, insurance analysis and portfolio rebalancing – and also earned her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. She has a B.S. in Business Administration & Economics from St. Mary’s College and an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University.

Senior Financial Planner
David began his investment career in 2001 in New York City at JNK Securities where he worked with large institutional clients and hedge funds, and also served as a trader on the floor of the NYSE. After moving to California in 2004, he worked as an asset manager for companies such as Arden Realty and CIM Group, and served as an Associate Director of Finance and Accounting at Marriott International. David graduated from the University of West Florida with a double major in Finance and Accounting. He earned an M.B.A. at UC Irvine. David is a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Certified Financial Planning Association and is an avid cyclist and runner.
Senior Financial Advisor
Steve joined Manchester Financial after spending several years at Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch as an advisor. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Steve had an extensive career in the medical device industry and served as a Regional Director for several manufacturers. He received his B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. Steve is the Director of the Laird Norton Family Foundation and serves on the board of its Finance Committee.
|Jennifer Leighton, JD, CDFA™
Jennifer joined Manchester Financial after many years in the entertainment industry. She began her career at Endeavor (now WME) – the world’s largest literary and talent agency. While at Endeavor, Jennifer sold a variety of television shows, both to cable stations and major networks, and specialized in developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals. She earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. Jennifer is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) at Manchester Financial and works with divorced and divorcing individuals. She is also a published book author and her article, "7 Financial Tips for Women Facing Divorce" was recently published by The Huffington Post.
Mark has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry with firms such as Merrill Lynch, UBS and New England Investment & Retirement Group. He is skilled in security research, analysis, selection and trading. Mark builds and manages customized investment strategies and implements Manchester’s proprietary model portfolios. He has an M.B.A. from Fordham University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Rhode Island. A native New Englander, Mark enjoys sailing and cycling.
|Jennifer M. Caruso
Jennifer began her long-time career in financial services with Genworth Financial in Richmond, Virginia. She has held various positions in client services, operations, relationship management and retirement planning and brings a diverse wealth management background to Manchester Financial. Jennifer earned a BBA in Finance with an emphasis in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from Kennesaw State University. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, running and traveling.
As a Financial Advisor at Manchester Financial, Seth uses financial planning software to create customized retirement strategies and develops optimal 401(k) portfolio allocations. He also conducts alternative investment analysis for real estate investments and structured notes. Prior to joining the Manchester team, Seth was a member of the Graziadio Finance Club where he performed complete valuation analyses of many Fortune 500 companies. He has previous financial advising experience at Waddell and Reed and earned both a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University. Seth is a current board member of the Ventura County Waves Alumni Chapter.
